Personal Statement

Alice Caesar, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ and an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist on the Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Unit and the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center. She teaches and supervises medical students, general residents and fellows in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She also has an outpatient faculty practice accepting child, adolescent, and adult patients. Dr. Caesar specializes in the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of psychiatric disorders. She has expertise in both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. She provides a comprehensive, individualized, thoughtful, and evidence based approach in order to provide the best possible care for each of her patients. 

Biographical Info

Dr. Caesar received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Neuroscience, from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She received her Medical Degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Caesar completed her residency in General Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2016. 

She completed her training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital, an affiliate of Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2018. 

Her previous research experience includes Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), as well as the treatment of ADHD in children with epilepsy. Dr. Caesar has contributed to multiple presentations at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) on the treatment of psychiatrically ill adolescents in the acute care setting.
