Personal Statement

I have enjoyed the practice of internal medicine for more than two decades. I love the collaborative aspect of patient care and the partnership that develops over time with my patients. I encourage my patients to be fully engaged in their medical care, be it disease prevention, diagnosis, or treatment. It has been my good fortune to practice at one of the best hospitals in the country and to refer my patients to specialists also dedicated to providing excellent care. I teach at the medical school and am active on several committees at the medical center, including currently serving on the hospital's Ethics Committee.
