About Diala Steitieh, M.D.
I am an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, and the Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy program in the Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital. My clinical practice is in general cardiology, with a focus on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and sports cardiology. I also care for patients with a wide array of cardiovascular disease, such as coronary disease and valvular heart disease. In addition to seeing patients in the office at Weill Greenberg Center, I serve as an attending physician on the inpatient services at New York Presbyterian Hospital, including the intensive care unit and cardiac units. I work closely with other physicians from varied specialties to help provide compassionate, individualized and high quality care.
Dr Diala Steitieh completed an accelerated premedical program followed by a medical degree from Weill-Cornell Medicine in Qatar. After graduating she moved to New York where she completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ- New York Presbyterian Hospital. She served as chief fellow for the cardiovascular division, and now serves as the director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center. Dr Steitieh is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Society. She is a principle investigator for clinical studies at Cornell, and also takes part in various outcomes research within the division of Cardiology.
