I am the Chief of Neuropathology at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ and an Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. I have extensive training in the analysis of human brain tissue and pathology of the central nervous system (CNS), with special expertise in pediatric and adult neoplasms of the CNS. I conduct both intraoperative and post-surgical diagnostic evaluation of CNS tissue, including for neoplasms of the CNS, brain biopsies for non-neoplastic disease, biopsies from the spine and paraspinal region, and peripheral nerve and skeletal muscle biopsies. I additionally perform both general autopsy and brain autopsy procedures. I am involved in the education of medical students as well as residents and fellows across disciplines including in Pathology, Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Pediatrics. I am a member of the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ. I have basic and clinical research experience in the fields of CNS neoplasms, non-neoplastic pathology of the CNS, and neurodevelopment. My current interests are focused on the iterative improvement of the histological, immunohistochemical, and molecular characterization of CNS tumors, including through the use of machine learning techniques and digital pathology.
