Elizabeth Bruun is a Behavioral Health Specialist in the Perinatal Wellness Program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ. Ms. Bruun is a licensed social worker with specialized training in general and perinatal mental health. Ms. Bruun embodies a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to meet each person's unique needs. Utilizing an integrated, strength-based framework, she employs evidence-based modalities in psychotherapy to help empower people in their recovery.

Biographical Info

Elizabeth Bruun earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Lawrence University and has a master's degree in social work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Prior to joining the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ms. Bruun worked at the Payne Whitney Clinic in the Outpatient Psychiatry Department at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell. She has treated patients for a wide range of psychiatric disorders in various clinical settings. She has experience conducting individual, group, and family psychotherapy with adolescents and adults, as well as providing care coordination services.
