Biographical Info

Fernanda Mazzariol, M.D. is a radiologist specializing in Body Imaging. She is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ and Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus. Dr. Mazzariol earned her M.D. from Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Campinas in Brazil in 1994 where she remained to complete a combined General and Vascular Surgery Residency in 1997. After an internship year in General Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, she completed a four-year Radiology Residency at Saint Vincent's Hospital where she served as Chief Resident in Radiology. She subspecialized in abdominal imaging when she completed a Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY in 2007. Dr. Mazzariol joined the Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ faculty as Assistant Professor of Radiology in 2017. Her clinical expertise is in multimodality abdominal imaging with focus in gastrointestinal and genitourinary conditions. She interprets a wide range of imaging examinations including CT scan, MRI, whole-body PET-CT, ultrasound and radiography. Her clinical interests are pre and post-operative imaging of liver, kidney and pancreas transplants and Virtual Colonoscopy. Dr. Mazzariol is a member of the following professional societies: * Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) * The American College of Radiology (ACR) * Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR) * American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS)
