About Paul Christian McCormick, M.D.
I believe psychiatry is uniquely situated at the intersection of medical science and the humanities. Because of this, I do not think there exists a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from my experience and knowledge in a variety of fields in order to craft an evidence-based treatment plan that can help a person pursue their individual goals and address their concerns.
Psychiatric treatment is a collaborative journey of which I feel privileged to be a part. I am also honored to be a member of NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center's thriving, vibrant, and diverse community.
Dr. McCormick is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Assistant Attending on NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center's 2 South Inpatient Eating Disorders Unit. He studied at Columbia University for his undergraduate and medical degrees. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ, where he served as chief resident. During his last year of residency, Dr. McCormick began training in adult psychoanalysis at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research.
He then pursued a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian's combined Columbia-Cornell program, where he served as chief fellow of the Westchester Behavioral Health Center Campus.
Dr. McCormick is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).
