Dr. Rendleman is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ, the Vice Chair for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ Department of Psychiatry, and the Program Co-Director at the .

Dr. Rendleman joined the Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ faculty in 1993 after completing both her psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Over the course of her career, she has made significant contributions to clinical service, program development and training and education. Early on, Dr. Rendleman gained experience in adolescent inpatient psychiatry initially as a staff psychiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health and eventually as the chief of the adolescent inpatient service formerly located on Greenberg 11 North. She also served as the director of pediatric consultation and liaison. Her extensive experience with clinical training and supervision made her the natural choice to assume leadership of the Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ Payne Whitney Clinic Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program in 2002. She helped design, bring to fruition and lead the bi-campus NewYork-Presbyterian Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program, a joint initiative between Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ and Columbia, that welcomed it's first class in July 2005. She served as the program director of this bi-campus program from 2013 until her transition to her role as Vice Chair of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and graduated over 200 child and adolescent psychiatrists. As program director, she served in leadership positions within the NewYork-Presbyterian Graduate Medical Education Office. For the past 10 years, she has also been part of a hospital-wide initiative to improve patient experience through more effective communication. In this role, she facilitates monthly workshops on Relationship-Centered Communication across the NYP enterprise. Her areas of interest include acute care child and adolescent psychiatry, training and education, and communication in healthcare.
