About Sara Strauss, M.D.
Sara Strauss, MD is a radiologist specializing in Neuroradiology. She is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus.
Dr. Strauss graduated from Columbia College where she earned her B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior in 2008. She received her M.D. at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2013, where she received the Dean’s Recognition award and graduated with Distinction in Research for her work on Diffusion Tensor Imaging.
Following an internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, Dr. Strauss did her residency in Diagnostic Radiology from 2014-2018 at Montefiore Medical Center and served as Chief Resident from 2017-2018. She completed her fellowship in Neuroradiology from 2018-2019 at NewYork Presbyterian/WeillCornell Medicine. Dr. Strauss joined the faculty at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ in July 2019.
Dr. Strauss interprets a wide variety of neuroradiological studies, including MR and CT of the brain, spine, and head and neck, and she has a specific research interest in Head and Neck imaging. She performs interventional procedures including deep face biopsies, sphenopalatine ganglion/trigeminal nerve blocks, and image-guided pain procedures in the spine.
