A woman鈥檚 pelvis is home to several organs, including the bladder, the uterus and the rectum. All three normally stay put, but sometimes one or more of these organs can actually fall through the vagina. That鈥檚 called prolapse, and it鈥檚 far more common that you might suspect.

A New Home for Women with Pelvic Floor Disorders

The pelvic floor consists of the muscles that hold the pelvic organs in place, including the bladder, urethra, intestines, rectum and, in women, the uterus, cervix and vagina. Located between the tailbone and pubic bone, these muscles form a 鈥渟ling鈥 that supports these organs and keeps them in good working order.
